About APKO
Association created in 2018
We started with 6 practitioners, currently we have over fifty active practitioners, these being mostly children and women.
There are also delegations in India and Brazil with a cumulative number of hundreds of practitioners.
Practitioners are composed of various age groups from 4 years to 60 years. Some of the practitioners are families that combine the need to practice sports, discipline and socializing.
We are affiliated to three public utility federations (Karate, Kempo and Ju-Jutsu)
We have several trainers Level 1 and Level 2 between Lisbon and Portalegre.
our approach
The dojo rules guarantee that, regardless of age, gender and social status, everyone receives equal treatment where effort and dedication to sport are the reward factors for athletes.
Implement the practice of sport both in its sporting, maintenance and social aspects in the community in general, but mainly with the aim of socially attracting the most disadvantaged families and children.
Show the importance of teamwork and the appreciation of individual work
Increase students' self-esteem and self-control in different environments by obtaining mechanisms to combat bullying.
Periodic assessments of athletes to record their progress. It will be a continuous work of healthy practice allowing the creation of bonds between the elements focused on common goals
Implementation of the modality for senior sport

what sets us apart
The importance of sport is undeniable. However, there is not always a quality offer accessible to a large part of the population.
The possibility of providing a local offer, accessible to the different fringes of the population at a time that complements the school offer. Our surroundings have a diverse school environment, with different age groups and different social quadrants.
Practitioners' dedication is a catalyst for martial component experiences that teach them how to deal with exposure and adversity.
The improvement of the quality of life that sport brings through the experience of a healthy life practice
The possibility of meeting new people with similar goals and different cultures in an environment of union and knowledge sharing
